About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Technician - Landing Gear Machinist to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Dubai MRO Centre, you will play a critical role in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform repair and fabrication of aircraft parts and components following established procedures and instructions.
  2. Operate heavy machinery, such as lathes and milling machines, to perform repair and fabrication work.
  3. Interpret and apply technical data, including engineering drawings and maintenance charts, to perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul work on various aircraft components.
  4. Ensure work is completed in accordance with turnaround time requirements and customer specifications.
  5. Perform mid-level mechanical operations on production/repair components, including troubleshooting and inspection.
  6. Communicate effectively with maintenance personnel and leadership to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues that arise.
  7. Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement, or modification.
  8. Drive continuous improvement activities across the team.
  9. Adhere to safety requirements and regulations, and demonstrate knowledge of EHS risks and impacts of work activities.
Requirements
  1. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma or Degree.
  2. Experience in use of Vertical milling machine and manual Lathe Machine.
  3. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean.
  4. Aerospace industry experience (minimum 3 years), preferably in an MRO.
  5. Experience with using calibrated precision measuring equipment.
  6. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  7. Ability to read, understand, and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) and other repair manuals and technical data.
  8. Ability to work flexible shift hours and a willingness to assist other departments as necessary.
  9. Fluent in English.
  10. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form.
