Job Title: Electrical Engineer

ENGIE Middle East is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Performance Benchmarking: Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Job Card Management: Generate job cards and incident management tickets for Data Center facility.
  • Project Coordination: Work with DCO managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.
  • Documentation: Establish documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
  • Maintenance and Emergency Services: Manage routine maintenance and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, building monitoring systems, etc.
  • Facility Design and Implementation: Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities.
  • Capacity Enhancement: Drive and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
  • Infrastructure Management: Management of the DC in the provision of infrastructure and inventory asset management.
  • Contract Compliance: Review DC contract compliance and ensure all SLAs are achieved.
  • Business Interface: Business interface with DC Management for day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Recruitment Support: Assist in recruiting efforts.
  • Issue Resolution: Manage DC to resolve any infrastructure electrical engineering issues.
  • Customer Service: Delivery of exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Electrical Systems Maintenance: Maintain, operate all electrical systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, building management system.
  • Facility Inspections: Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations.
  • Job Card Creation: Create the Job cards in CAFM App as per Site requirements and follow up the Job cards until close by the Technician.
  • Emergency Response: Responding promptly and efficiently to emergencies calls.
  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare and submit Monthly reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.
  • Equipment Familiarization: Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, Electrical systems, ELV system, fire/life safety, and other systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
  • Spare Parts Management: Maintain essential stock of spare parts.
  • After-Hours Support: Support any after-hours building needs and activities as required.
  • Data Center Guidelines: Familiarity with datacenter guidelines and standards especially Tier III design standards and ASME/ASHRAE/NFPA.
  • Shift Rotation: Ability to handle rotation Shifts on a monthly basis.

Required Skills:

  • Power Systems Knowledge: Good knowledge of power systems (UPS', Control Panels, DB's, Busway systems, Generators, Fire & Safety, ELV Systems)
  • Cooling Systems Knowledge: Basic knowledge of cooling systems (HVACs, Chillers)
  • UPS Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of UPS systems and associated switch gear and Distribution Panels
  • Standby Generators Knowledge: Working knowledge of standby generator systems and associated switch gear.
  • Electrical System Installation and Maintenance: Skill in installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment's and components.
  • MV and HV Switching: Understand and perform the MV & HV switching as per business needs.
  • Maintenance Shutdown Activities: Hands-on experience in maintenance shutdown activities of MV systems is a must.
