**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Senior Drilling Applications Manager to lead our team of Applications Engineers in architecting ERP application solutions. The successful candidate will provide technical advice and guidance, analyze and improve technology standards, and oversee the implementation of new ERP and web development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and advice to the team of Applications Engineers in architecting ERP application solutions.
- Technology Standards: Analyze and improve technology standards and solutions by maintaining a high degree of understanding of new solutions, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best business practices.
- Project Management: Oversee the implementation of new ERP and web development projects, involving solution proposals, requirements definition, design, development, and QA testing/validation/sign-off and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Operations Direction: Provide operations direction, support, and services for ERP and other integrated application systems and environments to enable and enhance mission-critical business activities.
- Performance Improvement: Ensure performance improvement through optimization and simplification of IS processes through the implementation of enterprise architecture solutions for Drilling Services Division.
- Standardization: Drive standardization of ERP best practices standards.
- Technology Awareness: Provide technology awareness and influence to key business stakeholders.
- Policies and Procedures: Oversee the development of policies, procedures, and documentation templates to ensure that quality documentation is created and available to support standard domain business processes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that a rigorous QA system is in place so that project deliverables meet the required standards.
- Contingency Planning: Work to define contingency plans for all enterprise application systems in compliance with best practice standards.
- Program Management: Provide program management leadership to deploy new technologies and services (including ERP upgrades and new web implementation projects).
- Project Monitoring: Monitor projects and ongoing work through governance structures.
- Project Review: Review the efforts of constituent project teams and determine the key interfaces of projects/programs.
- Sustainable Adoption: Define sustainable adoption strategies for new technology deployments.
- Implementation: Ensure successful implementation of ERP and web development projects by providing technical expertise in application design, integration, and systems architecture and provide technical expertise and direction to staff as needed to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend latest technologies applicable to the ERP environment in conjunction with the IT domain.
- Compliance: Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
