**Key Responsibilities:**
Financial Leadership- Manage and develop the accounting team, focusing on mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
- Establish departmental goals, policies, and procedures aligned with company objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the accounting department.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with senior leadership in budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
- Design and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Regularly review accounting department performance to ensure adherence to best practices and organizational policies.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead system implementations, upgrades, and other initiatives to optimize accounting operations.
- Evaluate accounting software and technology to ensure alignment with company needs.
**Requirements:**
- Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of team development and success.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration and reporting to senior management.
- Experience in international and UAE accounting rules and standards and compliance with them in all transactions, financial reports, and accounting registration with the Authority.
- Ability to prepare financial statements, reports, and budget documents in accordance with the accounting rules and standards approved in the government sector.
