We are seeking a highly skilled Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a key member of our consultancy, you will be responsible for participating in various geo-environmental projects, assisting with ground investigations and desk studies, and conducting soil logging to current set standards.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a variety of geo-environmental projects.
- Assist with ground investigations and desk studies.
- Conduct soil logging to current set standards.
- Prepare factual and interpretative reports.
- Process site investigation data.
- Travel to other offices and sites within the region (as needed).
- Manage data management, processing, and reporting in a timely manner.
- Oversee monitoring equipment hiring/off-hiring, maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
- Hold a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in geology, hydrogeology, geography, geosciences, environmental or environmental earth science. MSc desirable but not essential.
- Ideally working towards chartered status with a relevant institution.
- At least 2-5 years specific relevant experience.
- An understanding of geology, ground investigation works, contaminated land, geotechnical investigation.
- Able to complete factual and interpretative assessments.
- Able to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
- Track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget.
- Clear communicator and a team player.
- Happy to be challenged by demanding site work.
- Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and work solo using own initiative.
- Commitment to safety and improving ways of working.
- Self-motivated, solutions-focused, organised with effective time management.
- Familiar with use of data management tools and reporting software.
