Dubai British School Jumeira are currently recruiting a School Nurse to become a part of the team for the upcoming academic year.

Job Purpose

The School Nurse will support the school in managing health-related issues and maintaining DHA/HAAD compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal with students' health issues, including administering drugs, vaccines, and treatments.
  • Check lunch boxes and canteen food to maintain a healthy living environment; conduct healthy eating talks with students.
  • Liaise with Facilities Manager on regular Health and Safety checks.
  • Manage DHA/HAAD issues, including compliance, approvals, and statistics.
  • Maintain First Aid Kits.
  • Conduct School Medicals with specific year groups; communicate with Parents regarding health and safety issues.
  • Administer vaccinations (DHA/HAAD approved only).
  • Liaise with Children's Health department at the DHA/HAAD.
  • Care for students with specific health issues, e.g., diabetic students.
  • Member of the Health and Safety Committee; support Child Protection initiatives.
