Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans for steel bridge maintenance projects.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of steel bridge structures to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
  • Perform quality control checks on maintenance work to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Analyze inspection data and prepare comprehensive reports on findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices in steel bridge maintenance.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to construction personnel on quality control procedures.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing QA processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project compliance and quality standards are met.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC for steel bridge maintenance or related field.
  • NACE / BGAS certification mandatory.
  • CSWIP certification preferred.
  • Valid UAE Driving License with Own Car (Fuel will be provided).
  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies specific to steel bridge maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment for steel structures.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations related to bridge maintenance.
  • Expertise in corrosion prevention and control techniques for steel structures.
  • Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites within UAE as required.
