Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Engineer to join our team. As a Material Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all materials used in our projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Material Compliance: Review and approve materials proposed by contractors to ensure they meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  2. Material Engineer's Daily Diary: Prepare a daily report detailing material inspections, testing, and approvals.
  3. Site Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to monitor contractor activities, ensure compliance with project schedules, and provide guidance on material handling and storage.
  4. Supplier Management: Attend factory visits and supplier plant inspections to ensure materials meet quality standards.
  5. Testing and Approvals: Coordinate with relevant authorities to obtain testing and approvals for materials.
  6. Contractor Submissions: Review and approve contractor submissions, including testing requests and reports.
  7. Material Delivery and Accuracy: Monitor material delivery and accuracy to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  8. Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with contractor supervisory personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
  9. Field Inspections: Conduct regular field inspections to ensure compliance with project schedules and quality standards.
  10. Reporting: Prepare written and oral reports to management on contractual and procedural matters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
  • Dubai Central Laboratory approval.
  • At least 10 years of experience in construction and/or supervision.
  • Full knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the Emirate of Dubai.
