Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget. Conduct thorough cost estimates, monitor and manage project budgets, and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.
  • Quantity Takeoff and Measurement: Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and measurements for project materials and resources. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate project specifications and optimize project costs.
  • Contract Administration: Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms. Evaluate and negotiate variations and change orders to minimize project risks.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks related to cost and budget. Develop strategies for risk mitigation and cost control to ensure project success.
  • Cost Reporting: Generate regular cost reports for project stakeholders. Provide financial updates and forecasts to project management teams to inform decision-making.
  • Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to identify value engineering opportunities. Optimize project costs without compromising quality to deliver value to clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals. Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation or membership with a recognized Quantity Surveying institution.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
