Role Overview

The Senior Manager of Procurement Strategy will be responsible for:

  • Formulating and executing the strategic plan and annual financial allocation for the designated category in collaboration with the Business and Head of Procurement.
  • Designing and applying sourcing strategies at the project level, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks, internal regulations, best practices, and organizational objectives.
  • Overseeing and directing sourcing initiatives for new project launches, ensuring that key milestones and development timelines are met.
  • Identifying opportunities for consolidation and standardization to enhance cost efficiency.
  • Evaluating supplier proposals and calculating the total cost of ownership (TCO), while consistently achieving or surpassing annual sourcing objectives and savings targets.
  • Conducting price negotiations and finalizing commercial supply agreements/contracts in close collaboration with the legal team.
  • Researching industry trends and market dynamics to uncover and illustrate emerging opportunities for business advantage, while mapping and analyzing current expenditure patterns to identify cost drivers.
  • Maintaining proactive communication with stakeholders across various operational companies and developing digital tools to meet established KPIs and SLAs, along with regular updates on sourcing and negotiation strategies.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a large-scale Indirect Procurement environment managing multiple sourcing initiatives, particularly in Technology and IT sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating substantial contracts with major technology firms.
  • Experience in Procurement within Shared Services is advantageous, providing oversight for all procurement processes to ensure efficient operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of best-in-class procurement methodologies, systems, and practices.
  • Ability to evaluate legal and business risks when making decisions related to contractual obligations.
  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years in a similar capacity, with at least 15 to 17 years of overall experience in Procurement.
