This role requires an individual who can deliver excellent customer service by dispensing drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners. The ideal candidate will also provide valuable information to customers about medications and their use.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews customer's prescriptions to ensure accuracy and suitability
  • Offers guidance to customers regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage
  • Prepares and dispenses medications as prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
  • Ensures customer understanding by asking questions and providing assistance when necessary
  • Achieves sales targets by using sales techniques, promoting and expanding product offerings
  • Purchases and manages pharmaceutical supplies, medical equipment, or drugs, ensuring optimal storage and handling
  • Complies with local regulations and guidelines governing pharmacy operations
  • Maintains and reports the pharmacy's records as required by regulatory bodies (e.g., Dubai Health Authority, Ministry of Health)
  • Provides expert advice to customers on medication selection, medical equipment, or healthcare products and educates them on device usage
  • Establishes strong partnerships with local physicians and healthcare professionals to drive business growth
  • Collaborates with insurance providers to expedite insurance processing and resolve billing issues
  • Handles daily operational tasks such as inventory control, expiration date management, merchandising, etc.
  • Displays flexibility in working varied shifts and locations as designated by the line manager to meet business demands.
  • Serves as a mentor and coach to trainee pharmacists in preparation for their certification or licensure
  • Manages quarterly reporting requirements for controlled medicine sales as mandated by regulatory agencies like the Dubai Health Authority and Ministry of Health
