Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician with Marriott International, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of equipment and tools
  • Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
Requirements
  • Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in categories such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building
  • Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and the complete and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area
