We are seeking a Civil Engineering Specialist to support the project delivery teams in developing civil engineering solutions for projects within the ports & maritime engineering programmes.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing civil engineering solutions that meet the group's governance and strategic goals.
  • Developing project plans including structural analysis, scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Liaising with external authorities to grant approvals to construction projects while aligning with regulations.
  • Maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship between project teams, supply chain, and other stakeholders.
  • Preparing technical reports on project drawings, specifications, progress, challenges, and resolutions.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent English language skills; Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in using relevant design software and engineering tools.
Key Skills

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical expertise in civil engineering, particularly in structural analysis, construction methods, geotechnical knowledge, and hydraulics and environmental engineering. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills are essential for identifying and addressing complex challenges and opportunities. Additionally, proficiency in project management, regulatory compliance, and leadership skills are required.
