About the Role
Wood PLC is seeking a highly skilled Principal Civil/Structural Engineering Specialist to join our In-house Engineering team in Dubai, UAE.

Overview of Responsibilities
This key role will involve specialist design and detailing of civil and structural works for oil and gas projects. The successful candidate must have extensive hands-on experience in concrete, structural steel, underground drainage, and layout drawing preparation for EPC and FEED projects. Additionally, expertise in modelling software such as SP3D, Navisworks, SPR, E3D, PDS, and PDMS is essential.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and detail civil and structural works for oil and gas projects
  • Ensure compliance with American codes and standards
  • Prepare estimates and assist in their review
  • Provide technical assistance to discipline-assigned personnel
  • Maintain planning on all work scopes

Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering and possess at least 9 years of post-graduate experience, including a minimum of 6 years in the oil and gas industry and 4 years in a similar designation. Proficiency in specification and design basis knowledge, as well as experience in MTO preparation through XL spreadsheet, is highly desirable.
