About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary School Counsellor to join our team at International Community Schools. As a Primary School Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive counseling program to support the academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs of our primary school students. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about creating a positive impact on students' lives and has the necessary skills and qualifications to excel in this role.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing one-on-one counseling sessions to support students' emotional, social, and academic wellbeing. They will also develop and implement individualized plans to enhance student success, as well as facilitate small group counseling sessions on topics such as social skills, coping strategies, and conflict resolution. Additionally, they will create and deliver workshops and programs to support student development, provide immediate support and intervention for students in crisis, and work with school staff and parents to develop safety and support plans as needed.
Requirements:
We require the successful candidate to hold a Master's Degree in School Counseling or a Bachelor's Degree in School Counseling with at least 2 years of experience. Experience in an international British National Curriculum school or a UK school is desirable. Strong understanding of child development, learning principles, and counseling techniques is essential, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators is also crucial.
