About the Role

GHD is seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Civil/Structural Engineer in performing contractual duties onsite, ensuring that all civil and structural work meets quality control standards.
  • Interface with Stakeholders to mitigate construction impacts, coordinate with contractors and utility authorities, and ensure that project quality control procedures are followed.
  • Oversee and Inspect all civil and structural work, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality control standards.
  • Monitor and Coordinate contractors' activities, perform works inspection requests and material inspection requests on a daily basis.
  • Support the Civil/Structural Engineer in reviewing construction submittals, collaborating with construction management to eliminate hazards, and reviewing and interpreting design drawings and specifications.
  • Provide Resolution for technical engineering problems, coordinate application of solutions, and monitor material procurement and deliveries.
  • Ensure Quality by verifying that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
  • Organize and Maintain records, backcharge procedures, progress reports, and other required documentation.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of postgraduate experience on large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit and other software packages is an advantage.
  • Regional experience and ADM & DM registration are preferred.
  • Pro-active in resolving issues and good communication skills & relationship building.
