Job Title: Telecommunications Engineer

At the Technology Innovation Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our team. As a Telecommunications Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and integrating secure communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Design & Integration: Develop and integrate communication systems, including both software and hardware, to ensure seamless operation and high performance.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to the productization team, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to communication systems.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of communication hardware and software to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of system designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication across teams to ensure a cohesive approach to product development and integration.
  • Customer Requirements: Capable of understanding customer requirements and how those are assigned for technical requirements and deliverables.
  • Architectural Issues: Identify and resolve architectural and technical issues that arise during the development and integration process.
  • Development Support: Provide support and guidance to development teams in troubleshooting complex problems.
Requirements:
  • Secure Communications: In-depth understanding of secure communications technology principles and best practices, including Wireless Network Technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB, Cellular, Mesh, Long-range, Network Stacks) and Products (radios including Software Define Radios, communication devices), and Security Technologies (Trust Computing).
  • Programming Languages: Strong expertise in both compiled (e.g. Rust, C) and scripted (e.g. Python, Bash) programming languages.
  • Hardware Development: Strong expertise in hardware development and integration.
  • Linux Embedded Systems: Experience in Linux embedded/headless/remote system development and RTOS platform.
  • CI/CD Environments: Familiar with CI/CD environments such as Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and JIRA.
  • Product Development: Proven track record in product development and integration or engineer-level roles within the secure communications products industry.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex technical information to various audiences.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Team Management: Experience working with multinational teams and managing cross-functional projects.
