Job Summary:

As a Sales Manager - Leisure, you will be responsible for maximizing hotel sales revenue by attracting and securing new business opportunities. You will create and maintain strong relationships with clients, meeting their needs and exceeding their expectations to promote repeat business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve individual revenue goals and increase market share.
- Identify and Target Key Market Segments: Identify and target key market segments and develop strategies to capture new business opportunities.
- Generate and Maintain Customers: Generate and maintain customers of defined accounts through sales activities (face-to-face calls, telephone calls, site inspections, etc.).
- Establish and Maintain Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local Destination Management Companies (DMCs), overseas Tour Operators, and other client groups to generate leads and secure sales.
- Conduct Market Research: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, and use the insights to set up sales and marketing strategies, to be shared and discussed with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Rate Shopping and Competitor Analysis: Conduct monthly rate shopping of competitors to be completed and shared with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Exposure and Brand Awareness: Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales and other ways of communication.
- Industry Events and Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to build brand awareness, expand professional networks, and generate new business leads.
- Sales Performance Monitoring: Monitor own sales performance, analyze sales data, and generate regular reports to evaluate progress, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
- Sales Contract Negotiation: Develop and negotiate sales contracts and pricing agreements with clients to maximize revenue and profitability while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
- Selling Strategies and Opportunities: Ensure that selling strategies are adhered to during negotiations and maximize selling opportunities wherever possible.
- Collaboration with Operations Team: Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth handover of bookings, efficient guest service delivery, and seamless event execution.
- Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain a high level of knowledge about the resort's facilities, services, promotions, and local attractions to effectively communicate with customers and address their needs.
- Industry Regulations and Standards: Stay updated on industry regulations, legal requirements, and ethical standards to ensure compliance in all sales activities.
- Site Inspections and Reporting: Handle site inspections with individual clients or groups (if required also on weekends/evenings) and submit daily and weekly reports in a timely manner as requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Customer Inquiry Response: Ensure that inquiries and emails are responded to within a maximum of 24 hours.
Requirements:
- Education: High school/University or equivalent education required.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience within the hospitality industry in a resort/leisure segment.
