Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment Manager to join our team at Reliance Career Opportunities. As an Assistant HSE Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Health and Safety Manager (Corporate) in formulating, developing, and monitoring the implementation of health and safety policies, systems, procedures, and standards for existing activities and new acquisitions/processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies: Formulate, develop, and monitor the implementation of health and safety policies, systems, procedures, and standards for existing activities and new acquisitions/processes within the organization to ensure effective risk management.
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Assess hazards and conduct risk assessments on health and safety as per local authority standards and review them regularly.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Implement and maintain procedures and processes for the reporting, investigation, recording, and analysis of injury accidents, dangerous occurrences, near-miss incidents, and work-related ill health.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and work with departments to ensure the gaps are filled, ensuring that training is engaging and a testing process is in place to assess knowledge.
- Departmental H&S Plans: Work with departments to develop departmental H&S plans to ensure that H&S is on everyone's agenda.
- Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with local authorities and any external/internal auditors, ensuring that inspections/audits are carried out and all recommendations are followed up in a timely manner.
- Project Support: Work with H&S Manager (Corporate) and other departments on ad hoc projects.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management
- Fire Safety Course
