Job Description

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking a highly qualified English Language Instructor to join our team. As an English Language Instructor, you will play a crucial role in providing language development services to support the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement English language courses to help students achieve their academic goals and improve their language skills.
  • Coordinate the development of academic literacy through the writing lab with both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Provide academic, personal advising, and counseling in writing and communication development.
  • Review, revise, and enhance the English Language program curriculum, student assessments, and activities.
  • Engage with lecturers concerning the academic writing of their students.
  • Market and create awareness of the writing lab amongst students in AUE.
  • Support and engage with postgraduate students to help improve their academic writing.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in English Language or related field from an accredited university.
  • Preferably native English speakers.
  • At least 2 years of experience in teaching English in a university setting is required.
  • Experience in teaching IELTS/TOEFL courses is preferred.
