Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled ELV BIM Modeler to join our team at Duncan & Ross. As an ELV BIM Modeler, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate 3D models of ELV systems within building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain BIM Models: Create detailed 3D BIM models for ELV systems, including security systems, communication networks, audiovisual systems, and other low voltage systems.
  • Collaborate with Project Stakeholders: Work closely with ELV engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders to integrate ELV designs into overall building and site plans.
  • Ensure Model Accuracy: Verify that BIM models accurately represent ELV design intent and comply with project specifications and standards.
  • Perform Clash Detection and Coordination: Use Navisworks to identify and resolve conflicts between ELV systems and other building elements.
  • Generate Drawings and Documentation: Create accurate drawings and documentation from BIM models for construction and installation purposes.
  • Provide BIM Expertise: Support project teams by providing BIM expertise, conducting model reviews, and assisting with project coordination meetings.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Standards: Stay current with industry standards, BIM best practices, and technological advancements related to ELV systems and incorporate them into workflows.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an ELV BIM Modeler in a design consultancy environment within the GCC region.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Revit software for BIM modeling; strong skills in AutoCAD and Navisworks.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of ELV systems, including security, telecommunications, audiovisual, and other low voltage systems.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design requirements.
  • Availability: Candidates who are locally available in the UAE are preferred.
