Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic services: Deliver comprehensive breast imaging services including mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRIs, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Oversee national screening programs: Ensure the precision and effectiveness of breast screening initiatives through diligent oversight and management.
  • Educate and mentor: Act as an effective educator for residents and students, fostering their professional growth and development.

Essential Competencies:
  • Expertise in breast imaging modalities: Demonstrate proficiency in performing a full range of breast imaging techniques, ensuring thorough evaluations.
  • Precision in interventional procedures: Conduct MRI-guided breast biopsies with a focus on accuracy and safety.
  • Localization skills: Utilize image-guided wire localization techniques for the precise identification of breast lesions.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • MBBS/MBChB or equivalent qualification.
  • FRCPath/American board/Canadian board/Australian board/South African board or equivalent (Tier 1).
  • Full registration and license to practice as a consultant or eligibility for registration within six months of the interview.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Clinical and academic experience in a recognized university hospital.
