C-17 Supply Chain Logistics Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled C-17 Supply Chain Logistics Specialist to join our team at Boeing. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain, from procurement to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Management: Enter, track, and monitor customer orders, deliveries, and returns using our IT systems.
  • Dangerous Goods and IATA Regulations: Apply a good knowledge of dangerous goods procedure and IATA regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor material location and take proactive measures to perform redistribution and stock rotation where necessary.
  • Supply Chain Data Analysis: Monitor supply chain data to ensure defined reorder points and demand quantities are met.
  • Repair and Return Process: Process material returned for repair by the customer and obtain necessary base passes for the movement of materiel.
  • Documentation and Coordination: Coordinate and process documentation associated with repair items to monitor the movement of assets and components through the repair cycle.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Work with our shipping agent to expedite inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Customer Liaison: Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate delivery problem resolution.
  • Supply Support Program: Act as customer liaison when required to ensure smooth running of the supply support program.
  • Receipting and Acceptance: Complete all necessary receipting and acceptance procedures for equipment.

Requirements:

  • Logistics or Supply Qualification: Recognized Logistics or Supply qualification and typically 3 or more years' experience in Aerospace and Defense supply chain or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Field Experience: Field experience supporting airlift highly desirable. Experience working with Boeing GOLD and Warehouse on Web (WOW) Supply systems, and with International customers would be an advantage.
  • Language and Culture: Familiarity with the Arabic language and culture preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
  • Shifts: Successful candidates should expect to work flexible hours, a roster or shift including weekend work as appropriate to meet customer needs.
