Job Description

KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality project management consultancy services to support the development of service networks for newly developed land and community facilities.

The role involves overseeing change management, payment review and processing, contract administration, estimating, cost control, cash flow, and reporting on allocated work packages. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders, including planning departments, consultants, and contractors.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Change management, including tracking and reporting on potential changes and variations
  2. Payment review and processing for consultants and contractors
  3. Contract administration, including preparation and maintenance of estimates, budgets, and cash flows
  4. Cost control and reporting on allocated work packages
  5. Liaising with planning departments and reviewing value of work done (VOWD)

Key Requirements
  • BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
  • MRICS membership or equivalent certification
  • Minimum 15 years of overall experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Middle East
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and commercial aspects of major asset and civil infrastructure projects
  • Experience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, expenditure profiling, cost reporting, and cost forecasting
  • Proficient in MS Office, advanced MS Excel user, and Primavera Contracts Manager an advantage
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken; Arabic speaking advantageous
