Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at AHI Carrier. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical and instrumentation systems for our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Carry out detail designing of instrument and electrical (MCC) control systems, including design documents, instrumentation and control wiring diagrams, and instrument data sheets.
  2. Review and Coordination: Review instrument and control equipment specifications, vendor drawings, and equipment design calculations, ensuring full coordination with mechanical discipline before submission to clients.
  3. Multidiscipline Coordination: Act as a multidiscipline coordinator between electrical and instrumentation and mechanical teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  4. Documentation and Maintenance: Develop and maintain instrumentation and control design/engineering documents, including hook up drawings, UCP, panel drawings, and functional design specifications.
  5. Participation in Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and other safety studies, contributing to the design to ensure compliance with all HSE standards.
  6. Production and Review: Produce hook up drawings, system architecture drawings, and review and approve vendor system packages.
  7. Technical Support: Provide technical support for equipment selection and design, ensuring proper and accurate documentation is provided and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  8. Operability, Maintainability, and Constructability Reviews: Carry out operability, maintainability, and constructability reviews, assessing requirements for design.
  9. Coordination and Liaison: Coordinate design and liaise with clients on matters relating to control and communication systems, general arrangement drawings, data sheets, and control and instrumentation equipment/systems.
  10. Instrumentation and Control Co-ordination Meetings: Participate in instrumentation and control co-ordination meetings to resolve technical matters with clients and internal multi-discipline engineering teams.
  11. 3D Modelling and Interface Issues: Coordinate instrumentation and control works associated with 3D Modelling, resolving interface issues with other disciplines.
  12. Cost Estimates, Budgets, and Scope of Works: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and scope of works, ensuring project management skills for planning to meet delivery deadlines.
  13. Technical Review Meetings: Attend technical review meetings, internal and external meetings, and perform any other tasks requested by the line manager from time to time.
