MRI Imaging Specialist

Global Pharma Tek is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing magnetic imaging procedures, operating and preparing specialized equipment, and assisting patients in preparing for MRI procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI Imaging Procedures: Operate and prepare specialized equipment to perform magnetic imaging procedures, ensuring diagnostic quality and patient safety.
- Assist Patients: Assist patients in preparing for MRI procedures, positioning them correctly, and applying necessary technical judgment to obtain high-quality images.
- Provide Patient Education: Inform patients about the nature of the procedure, the area to be imaged, and any specific instructions they may need.
- Review Patient Safety Questionnaires: Review patient safety questionnaires and follow MRI safety precautions prior to scanning patients.
- Ensure Patient Safety: Ensure patients are cleared before transitioning from zone 2-3 and assist in administering opaque media and loading power injectors under aseptic technique.
- Position Patients and Coils: Position patients and associated coils to obtain optimum study quality.
- Scan Patient Documents: Scan patient-related documents and ensure all images are appropriately labeled according to customer SOP.
- Assist Physicians: Assist physicians directly as required and evaluate radiographs for technical acceptability.
- Maintain Radiology Room and Equipment: Ensure radiology room and equipment cleanliness, including removal of soiled or dirty linen, and maintain supplies and accessories in imaging rooms.
- Accurately Record Patient Information: Accurately record all required patient tracking information into IDX (Radiology Information System).
- Schedule Exams: Schedule exams into IDX (Radiology Information System) as required and ensure all studies performed are completed in a timely fashion.
- Inform Supervisors: Inform supervisors or appropriate personnel of needed repairs to equipment or unsafe conditions.
- Prevent Infection Spread: Prevent the spread of infection to self, patients, visitors, and other employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocol.
- Attend Professional Development Meetings: Attend in-services and other professional development meetings as required and maintain licensures specific to the job.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Current licensure specific to the job required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
