We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Officer - Project Financing to join our team at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating funding and investments for promising projects, leveraging their expertise in renewable energy and project finance.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate activities related to the IRENA/ADFD Facility, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of projects.
- Develop and implement strategies to ease access to finance for renewable energy projects, utilizing knowledge and matchmaking measures.
- Conduct feasibility and bankability analyses of projects submitted through the Energy Transition Accelerator Finance (ETAF) Platform.
- Participate in country, regional, and sub-regional dialogues to support renewable energy investments within IRENA's Climate Investment Platform (CIP) and ETAF.
- Monitor the renewable energy investment landscape, identifying comparable or relevant initiatives to support PFS work.
- Supervise junior personnel, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance their work and professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the organization.
- Advanced university degree in engineering, finance, economics, public administration, renewable energy, or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant professional work experience, with some experience at the international level.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
As a Programme Officer - Project Financing with IRENA, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to promoting the widespread adoption and sustainable use of renewable energy.
