Job Description

LHH Company is seeking a highly skilled International Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our compliance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all import and export transactions comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all import and export transactions adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.
  • Documentation Evaluation: Review and assess documentation related to international trade, including invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and import/export licenses.
  • Classification Expertise: Utilize expertise in Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Schedule B classification to accurately classify goods for import/export purposes.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain reporting metrics to assess internal audit clearance accuracy, duty, tax implications, and overall compliance performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in trade compliance, freight forwarding, ocean/air logistics, international transportation, e-commerce, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Schedule B, Harmonized System Code (HS Code), and other relevant classification systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of import compliance regulations and procedures.
