Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Drilling Operations Specialist to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drilling engineering and operations, with a focus on well design and planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement well designs that meet drilling objectives and comply with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to drilling teams, including the development of drilling programs and the evaluation of well performance.
  • Collaborate with operations geology and reservoir development teams to identify and evaluate well design options.
  • Generate cost estimates and develop equipment lists and material requirements for proposed well designs.
  • Review and evaluate input from service company providers and assess the feasibility of and risks involved in achieving well objectives.
  • Develop and implement safe work practices and ensure compliance with company HSE standards and industry best practices.
  • Study and analyze drilling performance data to optimize drilling processes and recommend improvements.
  • Evaluate geological and engineering data to determine whether operations are on track with well plan and recommend contingency options as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling, completion, and workover operations and engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of offshore experience.
  • Experience in directional and highly deviated drilling, including mudline tiebacks, and HPHT environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working in remote areas and dealing with logistics challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional certifications in drilling engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with drilling software and technology.
