We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing construction materials, compiling Bills of Quantities, and communicating with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing of Construction Materials: Identify and procure high-quality construction materials from reputable suppliers.
  • Bill of Quantities Compilation: Compile accurate and detailed Bills of Quantities for construction projects.
  • Supplier Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Tender Evaluations and Recommendations: Evaluate tenders from suppliers and provide recommendations to management.
  • Order Issuance: Issue purchase orders to suppliers for approved materials.
  • Delivery Follow-up: Monitor and follow up on delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials.

Requirements:

  • Construction Procurement or Construction Background: A strong understanding of construction materials and procurement processes.
  • Excellent Excel Database Skills: Proficient in using Excel to manage and analyze data.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Good Numerical Analysis: Strong analytical skills to accurately compile Bills of Quantities and evaluate tenders.
  • Good English Speaking and Writing Skills: Fluency in English to effectively communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Good Administrative Skills: Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Well-Presented: A professional and well-presented individual with a strong work ethic.
