Job Title: Assistant Category Manager

Location: Dubai UAE

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Category Manager to join our team in Dubai UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in merchandising, marketing, or related field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage overall category performances for the Group, to boost growth
  2. Handle category segmentation & positioning
  3. Estimate market size & segmentation by sub-category & packaging
  4. Assess competitor's portfolio & positioning by category & territory (product, packaging, price)
  5. Recommend the most relevant & efficient positioning by category & territory
  6. In conjunction with management & planning, establish business strategy & goals to maximize financial plans
  7. Manage product ranges from SKU selection to delisting and monitor performance vs. targets
  8. Define prices consistently with benchmarks and contract requirements
  9. Ensure product rotation, manage promotions & markdown strategies
  10. Maintain planograms and negotiate conditions for non-international products

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in merchandising, marketing, or related area preferred
  • Strong experience with Word & Excel necessary; with SAP and planogram tool (Space Planning) a plus
