Job Description

The position of HVAC/EEP Technician at Amentum is responsible for maintaining, modifying, and repairing electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC) systems, and associated equipment. The successful candidate will have the ability to work from blueprints, drawings, and operating a variety of electricians hand tools and testing instruments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, HVAC systems, and associated equipment.
  • Perform scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components, and adjust systems to maintain proper voltage, refrigerant levels, current, frequency, and synchronization.
  • Identify, repair, and record malfunctions by removing, repairing, and or replacing defective components.
Requirements:
  • Universal 608 HVAC certification.
  • High School diploma or GED. Formal training on power generating equipment and associated equipment such as military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year apprentice program with experience in electrical power production maintenance and repair.
  • Willingness to perform other duties outside the HVAC trade.
  • Computer knowledge to navigate online training, time keeping, and email.
  • Four (4) years of practical experience with equipment the technician will maintain. Six (6) months of Cummins Commercial, Advanced Medium Mobile Power Source (AMMPS) and InPower Software experience required.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance. (Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to do the following for sustained periods of time: stoop, bend, kneel, carry, reach, lift.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam.
