We are seeking a self-motivated and intellectually curious individual to join our Applied Data Science Associate program (ADSA). This intense program provides the training and experience necessary to become a Data Science Associate in approximately 6 months.

The ADSA program is centered around the Customer Facing Data Scientist Competencies. These competencies must be developed and mastered to become a successful Data Scientist. The four core competencies are:

  1. Data Science

    We focus on developing expertise in data science necessary to help our customers be successful, primarily with the DataRobot platform. We focus on classification, regression, time series, and anomaly detection, along with associated data preprocessing and algorithms. We also focus on developing proficiency in wrangling data with tools like Python and R.

  2. Product

    Data Scientists must be experts on the functionality of the DataRobot platform, both with the GUI as well as with the Python and R clients.

  3. Management Consulting

    Sometimes a Data Scientist advises an end-user, e.g. a business analyst or a data scientist, on a particular project. Other times they consult with senior management, helping to create a vision for how machine learning can benefit the company's bottom line. This requires understanding how the company generates value and identifying opportunities to reduce costs or increase revenue, quantifying the impact of those use cases, and then prioritizing and planning the execution of those projects.

To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in data science and a passion for innovation and problem-solving. You will also need excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
