About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal counsel to join our Process Automation Regional legal team in IMEA as a member of the team supporting the assigned Process Automation (PA) businesses. The work model for this role is onsite, contributing to the Process Automation Business Area based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing close working relationships with internal customers and stakeholders including management.
  2. Providing multiple jurisdictions experience and cross-border legal support across the Process Automation Business Area.
  3. Participating in contracts, agreements, consortiums, and joint ventures.
  4. Reviewing bids, negotiations, contracts, policies, and other legal documents from vendors, customers, and other third parties to ensure compliance with policies.
  5. Supporting the business in managing contractual claims.
  6. Participating in and promoting activities ensuring employees conduct business in compliance with directives and local laws.
  7. Implementing the compliance/integrity group program.
  8. Providing training to employees on contractual matters.
  9. Raising and defending litigation matters brought against the company using relevant external experts.
  10. Ensuring all external legal advice is provided in a cost-effective way.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university.
  • 10 years plus working experience in a major corporation and/or in a leading law firm.
  • Demonstrable experience dealing with both common law and civil law issues.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work progressively with autonomy.
  • Team-spirited, solution-oriented, and pragmatic approach.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with business clients.
  • Mastery of English and Arabic languages.
