At Bilfinger Middle East, we are seeking an experienced Fire and Gas Mapping Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive hazard identification, hazard ranking and risk assessments. This includes conducting F&G system coverage analysis to identify potential gaps and optimize F&G detector placement.

You will work closely with process safety and instrumentation teams to ensure F&G detection system effectiveness. Your strong understanding of F&G system design principles and industry standards (ISA, NFPA) or other international standards will enable you to provide technical recommendations on F&G detector types & quantity of F&G detector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) schedules and layouts.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, EPC contractors, and vendors for F&G system implementation.
  • Develop Fire & Gas layouts for fire, gas, smoke detection, Manual Alarm Call point, Sounder and Beacon.

We require a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, along with minimum 5 years of experience in F&G detection system design and implementation. Proficiency in developing F&G layouts, cause and effect matrices, report preparation is essential.
