Job Description

As a Senior Vice President of Global Cash Management, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, taking a global, regional, and local approach in delivering effective cash management solutions. You will be the primary point of contact and accountability for cash management solutions within your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Manage a portfolio of clients, taking a global, regional, and local approach in delivering effective cash management solutions.
  • Cash Management Solutions: Act as the primary point of contact and accountability for cash management solutions within your portfolio.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, product partners, and relationship managers.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building a trusted advisory status with clients, product partners, and relationship managers.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HSBC's policies and guidelines.
  • Risk Management: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding HSBC, its clients, assets, and clients.
  • Team Management: Manage the processes, infrastructure, and resources needed to deliver agreed team plans and targets, identifying and implementing improvements and collaborating with colleagues to maximize end-to-end integration, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Operational Management: Maintain a robust and efficient control environment across Global Payments Solutions to ensure good operational, financial, and project management and compliance with HSBC policy and procedures.
  • Information Management: Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Global Payments Solutions management information, analysis, and reporting framework that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision-making at all levels.
  • Policy and Governance: Lead the implementation and oversight of Global Payments Solutions policy and governance frameworks, procedures, practices, and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organization.
  • HSBC Values: Display the behaviors that form part of the HSBC Values and culture and adhere to HSBC risk policies and procedures, including notification and escalation of any concerns and taking required action in relation to points raised by audit and/or external regulators.
  • Operational Risk: Manage and mitigate operational risks in their day-to-day operations, in line with operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure of actions required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5-10 years of domestic or international cash management sales experience.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of local and regional cash management and clearing services, products, and techniques.
  • Relationship Management: Relationship management experience at multiple levels, plus a proven sales record.
  • Customer Understanding: Proven ability to understand a customer's business and the fundamentals of running a business.
  • Business Acumen: Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural, and regulatory issues.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and selling skills.
  • Market Knowledge: A good understanding of the market and market trends, competitive environment, and regulatory environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required.
