The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong background in civil engineering and construction management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead site supervision for road and associated works, including infrastructure and dry utility projects.
- Coordinate with Resident Engineers to ensure consistency and integrity in construction.
- Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, material submittals, and requests for information related to roads and associated works.
- Maintain daily diaries and reports for civil engineers and subordinates.
- Coordinate with contractors on scheduling and resource allocation.
- Supervise and monitor construction teams, including site engineers, work inspectors, and surveyors.
- Coordinate with Resident Engineers, contractors, and concerned authorities.
- Report progress to Resident Engineers and review construction quality.
- Liaise with parties for site safety and quality control.
- Attend site meetings to discuss road work and related activities.
- Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of records.
- Evaluate project safety performance and implement safety procedures.
- Act positively and participate in health and safety issues at the site.
- Comply with safety, health, and risk management requirements.
- Provide on-site direction and issue instructions for roadworks, utilities, and other related activities.
- Report back to Resident Engineers as necessary.
- Check performed work, record progress, and display versus programmed work.
- Prepare progress reports as required.
- Verify correctness and completeness of 'as-built' drawings.
