Senior Optometrist

Job Summary:

Mubadala Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Optometrist to join our team at the Moorfields Eye Hospital Center Abu Dhabi. As a Senior Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of optometric services, including diagnostic and post-operative refraction cases, slit-lamp examination, keratometry, contact lens fitting, and aftercare.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide Optometric Services: Conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat various eye conditions, and prescribe medications as needed.
2. Diagnostic and Post-Operative Refraction: Conduct refraction tests to determine the correct lens power for patients, and provide post-operative care to patients who have undergone eye surgery.
3. Slit-Lamp Examination and Keratometry: Use a slit-lamp to examine the anterior segment of the eye, and perform keratometry to measure the curvature of the cornea.
4. Contact Lens Fitting and Aftercare: Fit contact lenses for patients, and provide aftercare instructions to ensure proper use and maintenance of the lenses.
5. Diagnostic Equipment: Assist with the use of various diagnostic equipment, including corneal topography, pachymetry, visual field assessment, and fluorescein angiography.
6. Routine Dispensing Cases: Dispense glasses, contact lenses, and other eye care products to patients.
7. Clinical Photographic Work: Conduct clinical photographic work, including taking photographs of the eye and surrounding tissues.
8. Research Studies: Participate in research studies to improve eye care services and advance the field of optometry.
9. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive eye care services to patients.
