Job Overview

As an Infrastructure Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all construction activities meet the established standards and specifications. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining the integrity and safety of transportation facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection Duties: Conduct thorough inspections to verify that all work aligns with contractual specifications. This includes:
    • Assessment of demolition activities related to transportation facilities.
    • Oversight of road construction and associated enhancements, such as curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and landscaping.
    • Evaluation of drainage systems, traffic management, and adherence to SWPPP regulations.
    • Supervision of irrigation, planting, and the removal and installation of roadway and overhead signage.
    • Management of temporary and permanent signage and delineation installations.
    • Daily documentation through project photography.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Documentation Management: Maintain organized office files pertinent to the project, including quantity calculations and daily diaries.
  • Reporting: Prepare daily reports and necessary documentation as stipulated by contract requirements.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Conduct labor compliance interviews and maintain accurate as-built plans.
  • Conflict Resolution: Identify potential conflicts and issues, reporting them to the supervisor along with proposed solutions.
  • Material Compliance: Collect, review, and file Certificates of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags, and other relevant material information.
  • Coordination: Facilitate the work of subconsultants involved in surveying and material testing.
  • Safety Practices: Contribute to the development of job safety practices and assist in preparing safety reports.
  • Quality Control: Engage in the creation of quality control reports and procedures.
  • Payment Verification: Report on installed quantities to validate payment applications and change order work.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations at the project site.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities associated with this position as required.
