Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HACCP Compliance Specialist to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all SQF, HACCP, and FSMA systems, policies, and procedures at our local facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and Ensure Compliance with the HACCP plan, pre-requisite programs, and SQF programs, ensuring that all company quality and food safety policies are met.
  • Schedule and Maintain the sampling and testing program, ensuring that all required audits are completed in collaboration with FDA, WDATCP, USDA, SQF, and vendors.
  • Ensure Compliance of All Company Policies, including HACCP, SQF, and FSIS documentation compliance and PHIS updates.
  • Serve as Liaison between company and FSIS (Food Safety & Inspection Service), ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Administer FSIS Required Training and supplemental coaching of HACCP/SQF policy compliance for the location leadership team.
  • Provide Correct Labeling Statements on our products to comply with applicable regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or related discipline, or four (4) years of relevant work experience.
  • One Year of Experience in Quality Assurance/Food Safety/Research in a meat production environment.
  • SQF and/or HACCP Certification is preferred, as well as knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and USDA regulations.
  • Ability to Build Professional Relationships with quality assurance team members and cross-functional teams, while facilitating a collaborative environment.
  • Proficient Skills with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution Skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing.
