The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of a strategic health and safety improvement plan, focusing on minimizing losses and ensuring compliance with established standards.
Main Responsibilities- Develop a comprehensive health and safety management system based on risk analysis to support operational objectives.
- Create new and existing company procedures in alignment with the overall company strategy.
- IDentify training needs for employees and develop training programs to address competence gaps.
- Lead investigations into accidents and incidents to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.
- Plan and direct health and safety audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Contribute to developing the company's health and safety behavioral culture.
- Masters or Bachelors Degree in Industrial Safety or Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- At least 12 years of experience in health and safety management roles, including 4+ years in a steelmaking or manufacturing industry in a management position.
