Job Overview

The Salesforce Cloud Technical Architect plays a pivotal role in helping customers drive digital transformation and cloud adoption. As a pre-sales customer-facing expert, you will apply your broad technical skills and industry knowledge to develop value propositions that align with our customers' business strategies.

You will be a subject matter expert in one or more categories, including business strategy, application architecture, data & information, integration, security, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, distributed platforms, mobile, and analytics. With a solid blend of technical and sales skills, you will use a consultative approach to understand business and technical requirements.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Becoming a trusted advisor to CIO/CTO/Architects level contacts and their teams as they transition to a cloud architecture
  2. Earning the trust of prospects' and customers' CISO/CSO/Chief Risk Officer and similar
  3. Presenting Salesforce technology infrastructure, demonstrating deep familiarity with company's platform capabilities, hosting infrastructure, security, and integration capabilities
  4. Understanding customer needs and establishing company's product as the best solution addressing technical and business requirements
  5. Conducting architecture and technical workshops, including enablement sessions
  6. Managing customer technical due diligence and risk management processes
  7. Working closely with other elements of the Salesforce organization to develop and execute internal and external programs and initiatives
  8. Assisting sales teams in responses to RFPs and technical requirements documents
  9. Participating in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certification
  10. Mentoring and guiding more junior technical resources
Required Qualifications
  1. Multi-year experience in software, system, or enterprise architecture disciplines
  2. A good understanding of architectural principles of cloud-based platforms, including SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure, etc.
