About the Opportunity

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the College of Education, specifically in Special Education. As an academic expert, you will be responsible for providing students with professional expertise in teaching, assessing student work, and academic advising.

Our ideal candidate possesses a Ph.D. in Special Education or a related field from an internationally accredited university. They must have at least 18 credit hours of graduate studies in the required field and a minimum of two research publications in Scopus journals.

The successful candidate will have a proven record of excellence at baccalaureate and graduate program level teaching, as well as experience in curriculum development and review. Additionally, they should be able to integrate web-based and digital technology in the classroom and possess excellent English Proficiency and Communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Instructional Delivery (Teaching Performance)
  • Present research and practice-driven teaching and adapt to latest pedagogical techniques that stimulate students to inquiry and encompass a broad and coherent body of knowledge.
  • Effectively manage the instructional processes, including assessment and evaluation, and contribute to regular curriculum reviewing and improving the existing curriculum for quality and effectiveness.
