Project Director - Urban Development Lead

About the Role:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Project Director - Urban Development Lead to oversee the successful delivery of urban development projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, leading project managers, and ensuring the technical and financial performance of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  2. Project Management: Lead and manage project managers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  3. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leading to the growth of Parsons' urban development portfolio.
  4. Team Leadership: Mentor and develop project managers and engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  5. Performance Management: Monitor and report on project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a reputable institution.
  2. Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in urban development project delivery, with a proven track record of success at a principal project manager/director level.
  3. Skills: Strong project and financial management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and authorities.
  4. Leadership: Ability to lead and develop assigned staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  5. Design Experience: Strong design experience in urban development planning and/or infrastructure design.
