• Oversee HSE inspections to confirm that all products, services, equipment, and other items designated for inspection adhere to HSE standards and are safe for subsequent processing or use. Ensure that inspection activities are thorough and sufficient.


• Evaluate reports, feedback, and contributions from various functions such as technical, projects, and quality to guarantee aligned and timely support for any HSE-related issues.


• Supervise HSE compliance and performance among staff, participating in complex and high-impact HSE inspection activities to ensure adherence to HSE standards and procedures, including equipment installation and asset operations.


• Serve as the primary contact for safety, health, and environmental matters within the company's HSE management systems, facilitating understanding and communication with plant personnel.


• Review purchasing standards to ensure that equipment and materials procured meet applicable safety codes and incorporate the latest technology.

Operational Safety


• Identify hazardous and risky activities, implementing measures to mitigate risks and ensure the proper disposal of hazardous waste and toxic chemicals.


• Monitor safety, environmental, and health tools and equipment, including personal protective equipment and spare parts, to support HSE processes.


• Recommend preventive maintenance programs and associated procedures to ensure that safety equipment and installations are maintained in optimal operating condition, following up on safety aspects of these programs.


• Contribute to the development of plant safety programs, ensuring the availability of safety manuals, hazardous area instructions, safety materials, and publications. Identify unsafe working conditions and recommend improvements.


• Prepare and update safety inspection checklists and schedules for surveying plant facilities to assess hazards and identify corrective actions.

HSE Initiatives & Project Implementation


• Collaborate with HSE technical experts to lead and participate in HSE-related studies, including HSE Impact Assessments, HAZOP, HAZID, Root Cause Analysis, and Risk Assessments.


• Audit, review, and assess deployed projects and initiatives to ensure sustainable and continuous development.


• Lead housekeeping and other environmental initiatives to enhance the working environment within the plant.

HSE Training


• Assess training needs for HSE within the respective area, aligning training sessions with HSE technical and management, and conducting HSE training programs and communications.


• Lead or oversee evacuation and drilling exercises to ensure personnel readiness and preparedness for emergencies.


• Communicate, educate, and advise on updates in HSE policies, procedures, practices, and technology to ensure timely information dissemination to the team.


• Prepare analyses and reports for routine and non-routine HSE activities.
