Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of electrical installation, inspection, and maintenance activities as per project requirements. This includes assisting Electrical Engineers during installation, testing, and commissioning activities, as well as installing new or modified electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations, inspections, and repair/maintenance activities as per project requirements.
- Assist Electrical Engineers during installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Install new or modified electrical equipment, including wiring as per approved schematic drawings.
- Conduct site surveys for installations, cable laying, and other electrical activities, preparing survey reports with sketches.
- Read and understand method statements, electrical drawings, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
- Handle electrical equipment, materials, tools, and test equipment safely and efficiently.
- Analyze and prepare lists of required materials and tools for each job site.
- Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of equipment and tools.
- Prepare time sheets and work reports as required.
- Undertake any additional duties within their job purpose as directed by their line Engineer.
Requirements:
- Deft handling of electrical equipment, materials, tools, and test equipment.
- Ability to read and understand method statements, electrical drawings, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
- Safe working practices and ability to demonstrate proper care of equipment and tools.
