Job Summary:

Parsons Oman is seeking a highly skilled BIM/CAD Technician - Wet Utilities Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for performing basic to moderately difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure project compliance with established policies and processes, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.
  • Work with BIM Lead, Design Leads, and Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details from rough sketches and/or general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
  • Understand the BIM modeling process and manage all BIM-related activities from project start-up to project completion.
  • Review each drawing for readability, presentation, and adherence to standards in accordance with the company QA/QC process.
  • Have good knowledge in content creation and be able to create different types of parametric and non-parametric families.
  • Strong knowledge in LOD requirements.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.
  • Have good knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, with experience in clash detection and producing clash reports.
  • Able to produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting experience in Wet Utilities projects.
  • Software experience required: AutoCAD, MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D & Navisworks.
  • Common Data Environment: ProjectWise & ACC.
