Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive power flow studies and system analyses to determine the optimal configuration of transmission lines.
  • Develop detailed designs for overhead and underground transmission lines, taking into account factors such as voltage levels, conductor selection, and tower/pole design.
  • Collaborate with substation engineers to ensure seamless integration of transmission lines with substation infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and select optimal routes for new transmission lines, considering environmental, regulatory, and community factors.
  • Design interfaces for the connection of transmission lines to substations.
  • Conduct reliability assessments and implement measures to improve system performance.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for transmission projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proven experience in the design and planning of electrical transmission systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP).
