About the Job

We are seeking an experienced teacher of English as a Foreign Language to join our team at Middlesex University Dubai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching to English language students, assisting in the design, development and review of teaching activities and materials, and contributing to English language programme review and design.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Learning and Teaching
  • Deliver high quality teaching to English language students, focusing on developing their academic writing and speaking skills.
  • Assist in the design, development and review of teaching activities and materials, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse student groups.
  • Contribute to English language programme review and design, helping to shape the curriculum and assessment strategies.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • DELTA and/or CELTA or PGCE
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality teaching in the field of EFL
  • Proven record of good professional practice in learning and teaching
  • Previous experience of teaching young adults in a classroom environment
  • Previous experience in teaching IELTS and examination preparation

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working collaboratively to deliver on shared objectives
  • Previous experience of teaching Academic Writing
  • Previous experience of working as an IELTS examiner
  • Previous experience of course or programme development in the field of EFL
  • Proven experience of planning and managing time and resources efficiently
