Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Engineer I to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire contract lifecycle, from procurement to contract closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Procurement: Select the most appropriate type of contractual instrument and contractual provisions relevant to the scope of work and the type of service or material required.
  • Vendor Selection: Select bidders to ensure the best resources, positive response, real competition, and fair opportunities to the companies prequalified with DragonOil.
  • Contract Preparation: Prepare call for tender, contract, and service order packages ensuring that technical specifications are clear and the commercial terms and legal provisions are sufficiently robust to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Contract Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate the different technical, commercial, and legal aspects of tender submissions, obtain clarifications when necessary, optimize all factors, prepare a technical commercial evaluation, select the best offer, and recommend for award.
  • Contract Administration: Prepare award notice and relevant contractual document, obtain necessary approvals in accordance with company Contracts Policy, applicable procedures, and Financial Authority Manual, and arrange for contract signature.
  • Contract Closeout: Support the Contract Administrator to resolve contractual problems, analyze claims submitted by contractor, prepare company claims, and progress until contract closeout.
  • Contract Documentation: Ensure each contract is properly closed out and documented at contract conclusion.
  • Negotiation and Claims: Preparation of Negotiation Strategy and settlement of claims.
  • Contract Data Management: Input Call For Tender and contract information into the company's ERP system, perform ongoing update and data maintenance activities necessary to generate tenders and contracts monthly report.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in any Engineering Discipline
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years' relevant experience, at least 50% of it spent in Engineering/operations role to understand products, services, and service delivery. Cross-functional value-adding experience is an advantage.
